The Closest Connection

The closest connection we've ever had
wasn't through cellphones or texts or iPads
The convenience of technology comes at a cost
where personal physical face-to-face is lost.
Offices, computers, screens where we hide
Do we ever look up to see the outside?
In nature we began, made out of clay
too muddy for us now, clean we must stay
But at our cleanest the connection was clearer
outside, in The Garden when our creator was nearer

  1. That's so true. I always feel so more relaxed and at peace with things when I'm out enjoying mother earth!
