Willow Manor Ball

I'll be the one behind the mask
Dodging the questions you'd want to ask
Hiding in a sea of Chanel
Showing only the me you know so well
But under the taffeta, ruffles, and lace
I'll be watching you dance from a quiet place
Smiling as though all is as it should be
Secretly wishing you were dancing with me

Catching Cars

dog by scavengercat808

Are we on the outside trying to get in
Or on the inside trying to get out
The grass that's greenest can be deceiving
Perhaps we should chase contentment instead of cars
If we ever caught a car, what would we do with it anyway?

Time

Time.
There's never enough.

When we are young we squander it.
We think it passes too slowly.
We think it lasts forever.

As we grow older, we slow down.
And time, it seems, speeds up.

There's never enough time.

So what can we hope for?
More time?
To move more quickly?
For time itself to slow down?

My hope is this...
When my time runs out
I hope I can say I spent it wisely
And regret nothing.

Because time really does last forever.
It outlives us.
So perhaps its us that aren't being... enough.
