When the world is not what we want it to be
Do we take our chances
Or do we peel back the astroturf to manipulate the gears to our desired outcome
If for every action, there is a series of changes that occurs
Then are we manipulating our own destiny
Or are we changing the paths of others without their ever knowing
Is it worth it?
Perhaps the gears should not be in our control
perhaps not...it can definitely get scary when we start tinkering without thinking of how it affects those around us....
ReplyDeleteyep- those opposable thumbs have gotten us into a pickle...

ReplyDeleteIt's a high risk strategy, certainly. Maybe we control too much already - or too little. Thought-provoking.
ReplyDeleteI love the brevity of your take, a remarkable poem.
