Your memory is a shadow, a dark spot on my heart
It creeps into my mind from time to time
Reminding me of my what I once thought was happiness
But I contest.
You were never my happiness
You were merely it's illusion
You were cold and gray
You were complacency
Now I know what true happiness is
And not even your shadow can keep the sunlight from my face
Warming me with it's blissful light
Despite your shadow, I have found my happiness
